Encore Choir is the highly acclaimed choral program at Glenda Dawson High School in Pearland, TX. Founded in 2007, Encore Choir is recognized throughout the State of Texas for the excellence of its musical and educational program. Our mission is to nurture students through a quality music education in which students gain musical skills and a life-long appreciation of music.  Through a continued pursuit of excellence, we strive to inspire and educate while modeling professionalism and artistry.

Encore consists of several different levels of choral ensembles as well as a successful AP Music Theory program. Currently more than 250 students participate annually in Encore performances, where they appear in a musical theatre Cabaret every fall, winter and spring concerts, and participation in the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest. Individual students also have opportunities to participate in the TMEA All-State Choir process and the Texas Solo and Ensemble Contest. Additionally, Encore students are frequently featured in collaboration with Dawson High School’s Ovation Theatre productions.
